2020 - The Year Of Books
Eighteen days ago, the year 2020 commenced. I decided, after years of abandoning and overlooking all the literature within finger-tip reach, I would begin to reignite the reading joy that I had when I was younger.
I am on my gap year before I go to university in September of this year, so with this freedom I decided to nose dive into novels and catch up on the few years of lacking.
This I decided 18 days ago. Since then, I have read four books and am on my fifth. Reading has taken the most positive toll on my life in the due time. I decided to maintain this casual blog alongside to keep track of my progresses and thoughts on books I have read.
I have downloaded the app 'Goodreads' and set a reading challenge for the year, which I am keeping up with - but I wanted a more personal bubble for my thoughts on the books I read and how they are effecting me.
I really want to explore and document the journey that this is, after realising that reading is such a pleasure I skipped for too long before.
